For the past 24 years many in the organization have worked jobs donated to our projects, purchased gift cards paid hotel bills and storage spaces to keep families from losing everything they worked for when they become temporarily stabilized due to family violence, evictions due to decrease in income or health issues of the parent caregivers.
Why we have been unconventional in our support is because situations of families are often the same way. Our view is to offer the least stressful solution to their stressful situations.

When you give to our general support we can keep families together, pay for storages, offer to pay for a day or two to keep people into a hotel or a place for those needing to get away from violence or those who have a need for reentry support or housing to be released from prisons.
When you give during the holidays we keep families in their housing and holiday assistance to have the children stable
Teach children their fact based history as civic education. We send facilitators into spaces to teach children how to get along with each other without it ending in violence deaths and suspensions. We invite children to learn legal skills to hustles to bring in incomes.
